This album was created with the mindset of minimalism and simplicity as its foundation. The purpose here is to bring
music back to its basic form, in the interactions between the musician, the instruments and the listener.
Through this exploratory process I stripped back all of the flashy bells and whistles, the club style compositions and the multitude of tools to that of a more basic three piece setup that focused on me, the instruments and the song writing.
The tracks on this album were recorded live using only three pieces of gear and a pair of headphones. I used no
automation, no renders, and no multi-channel mixes. Everything that you hear on this album is heard as it was
recorded.
At times you may hear what are mistakes, but those have been left in place purposely for the sake of conveying the
essence of electronic music. That essence is the energy and feeling that was once born out of the underground clubs and bedrooms of countless musicians early on. Those venues and that music wasn’t so much concerned with the polished output of the track, but rather the emotional output of the work. It is with this album that I hope to re-ignite that feeling, if only for myself.
The tracks presented here were written to be equally danceable or relaxing, and I hope these works re-ignite, or if the case may be, ignite your desire for the scene.
